Synopsis:   

 

The Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) is an S$6.6 billioninvestment by Genting Singapore. The Resort is built on a 120 hectaresite.  Phase One of this fast track project was completed within threeyear’s time.  The intention of this technical visit is to learn from the RWSteam on their experience in managing the complexity of such a megaproject and completingit in relatively a short time period. Phase One project comprised of theUniversal Studio (a theme park), 4 Hotels, its Compass Ballroom, 26 Function Rooms,a 1,600 seat Festive Grand Theatre and its Luxurious Casino.  Supporting these attractions is the 3,500-lots car parking facility, restaurantsand retail stores. The world's largest Marine Life Park, a Maritime Museum, adestination spa and 2 remaining hotels will be opened in a later phase.

 

IEM (SouthernBranch) is pleased to arrange a technical visit to the Resorts WorldSentosa Project Site forall IEM (Southern Branch) members with the details as follows:

Kindlyreturn the reply slip to the IEM(SB) office before 23rd April 2010 together with anon-refundable fee of RM80.00 per person (RM110.00 for non-IEM members)for transportation and others charges (admission fees to RWS area is included) madepayable to The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (Southern Branch).  Alternatively, you could bank-in theCommitment Fees into the Institution’s Maybank Current Account (No.5-013920-15708) and to facsimile the bank-in slip as well as the Reply Slip tothe Institution. Please note that the fees must be settled in advance prior tothe visit. Please also be reminded that if a place is reserved and the intendedparticipant failed to attend the visit, the fee will still have to be settledin full.
