Synopsis:

This short course aims to describe and illustrate procedures for performing failure analyses on engineering components and structures for industrial purpose and as well as presenting the various types of failure, observed in engineering components and structures such as metal creep and fatigue. Relevant background on the mechanics of materials as well as materials science and engineering required for performing failure analysis are also reviewed. Finally, steps in performing a typical failure analysis of an engineering component are illustrated in detail.

Registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis as this short course is strictly limited to 60 participants only. Registration is confirmed only with payment received.
