Synopsis

Molecular Oriented PVC pipes (PVC-O) has been widely used in Malaysia since it has been produced locally around 4 years ago. Projects in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak from urban to rural areas have begun using PVC-O pipes for water mains and water reticulation due to its many technical and commercial advantages, as recognized by the water authorities and SPAN. Government projects and private developments who seek the best price and performance would always put PVC-O on the top of their list. In this seminar, participating engineers will be shown technical details on specifying PVC-O pipes for projects and also solutions to different technical questions in the industry. Case studies will be presented to put forward different challenges and show how using PVC-O pipes could bring about the best solution from short to long term.

Biodata Speaker

Mr. Aziz graduated with honors degree in Applied Science from the State University of New York, Buffalo in 1989. He has more than 25 years of experience in plastic piping industry. Throughout his career, Mr. Aziz has served in various portfolio functions including quality assurance, technical marketing, product development and production operation. Mr. Aziz also serves in the advisory committee for SIRIM Standards and other statutory organizations. Prior to joining Molecor SEA, he was the General Manager for Operation & Innovation at one of the piping company in Malaysia and worldwide. One of his major achievement was the invention of GYROJOINT fitting system used in the rainwater system. Currently, he is the Plant Head at Molecor (SEA), a company dedicated exclusively on PVC-O Pipes manufacturing.
