Synopsis

The management of successful shopping malls today is increasingly complex as malls become more and more competitive. Therefore, good management will mean an optimum balance of soft skills (human resource) and hardware (building structures and equipment). The talk will explore what it takes to manage shopping malls well from the perspective of engineering skills i.e. to engineer and re-engineer both new and old malls. Topics of interest include delving into trends for the future, managing energy efficiency, the modernization of vertical transportation, lighting designs, ventilation in car parks, viability of solar power and even the whims and fancies of retail fit-out designs etc. Join our well experienced speakers from the field of hand-on practitioners and consultants who will enlighten participants on the complexities of mall management from the engineers’ viewpoint. Learn from actual case studies and be enlightened!
