Synopsis

The introduction of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in infrastructure projects has enabled infrastructure design and construction industries to better manage the entire project lifecycle. BIM enables all project team members to effectively communicate work instructions and design concerns, especially during the design stage in reducing mistakes and the cost impact of such errors before the project's construction. However, implementation of BIM in Malaysia still has some pushback from Malaysian building, infrastructure and construction stakeholders.

This webinar will look at how project stakeholders may collaborate smoothly across horizontal and vertical aspects of infrastructure projects, and how they can use CAD, BIM, and cloud computing to improve design and project delivery. To show how to deliver your infrastructure projects utilizing the most up-to-date BIM for Infrastructure design and engineering tools which is available within Autodesk AEC Collection, both on your desktop and in the cloud. It is suitable for all Contractors, Engineers, Architects, QS as well as Developers who are keen to find solutions to this topic.

About Speaker

Mr. Abi Sarwan obtained his Bachelor (Science in Architectural Studies) from University of Wales, Cardiff in 1999 and is a registered Graduate Technologist. He has been actively involved in BIM based project since 2004. He has working experience for over 21 years in various Architectural, Engineering and Construction Consultancy in Malaysia such as GDP Architects, Arkitek Binarjaya, ACAPacific Technology (M) Sdn Bhd and Sime Darby Property. He also involved with the Autodesk Ecosystem which he started working as an Application Specialist and certified as an Autodesk Trainer from 2006. Now, he is the Managing Director for 3DTech Parametric which is the Gold Partner Reseller for Autodesk.

Mr. Abi is heavily involved with the CIDB community. He is one of the BIM steering committees to develop BIM training contents. He also has been invited as a guest speaker for many events in various university and organizations. In 3DTech, Mr. Abi managed to build and maintain a strong relationship with well-known company such as the YTL Corporation Berhad, Sime Darby Property, GDP Architects Sdn. Bhd., Ranhill Utilities Berhad and more.
