Synopsis

This technical talk introduces geogrid stabilisation as a practical solution for constructing roads over soft ground. It covers how geogrids enhance load distribution, mitigate differential settlement, and improve bearing capacity through interlocking mechanisms and lateral confinement. Key design considerations and installation practices will be discussed, along with real-world case studies that demonstrate performance benefits, cost savings, and construction efficiency. The session aims to provide engineers, contractors, and decision-makers with a clear understanding of how geogrid stabilisation solutions can improve road performance and sustainability under challenging ground conditions.
