Synopsis

Explore Malaysia's seismic risk — from active tectonics in the Johor Fault System to the vulnerability of our buildings. This seminar covers practical retrofitting solutions and addresses the core design debate of strength versus ductility through case studies using the Malaysian National Annex to Eurocode 8. We will conclude by discussing the challenges of implementing the new Malaysian National Annex to Eurocode 8.
