5-DAYS REGISTERED ENERGY MANAGER TRAINING COURSE TYPE 1 (REMTC -T1)

Good day to all IEM (Southern Branch) members,

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (EECA) 2024 introduces mandatory requirements for large energy users, including the appointment of a Registered Energy Manager (REM Type 1) certified by the Energy Commission (ST). Non-compliance may result in enforcement action and penalties.

To support organisations in meeting these requirements, the IEM Training Academy (IEMTA), in collaboration with the IEM (Southern Branch) (IEMSB), is organising the Registered Energy Manager (REM) – Type 1 (5-Day Intensive) programme and bringing this training to Johor.

Why send your staff now?

  • Legal compliance: Fulfil EECA 2024 obligations by appointing certified REM Type 1 personnel.

  • Operational savings: Identify and implement energy-saving measures to reduce utility bills and operating costs.

  • Risk reduction: Demonstrate due diligence and reduce exposure to penalties.

  • Strategic value: Build internal capability to support sustainability and carbon-reduction targets.
